To whom it may concern :
It is an honor for me to join the Professor Jean Dausset (Nobel Prize in Medicine ) , Dr Jerome Posner (Professor and Chair George Cotzias and laboratory director George Cotzias at Memorial Sloan -Kettering Cancer Center, Weill Medical College of Cornell University) and affirm with them that the extraordinary discovery by Dr. Olivier Ameisen ( visiting Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology , Member of the European Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism ) the effects of high-dose baclofen to eliminate addictions, and generous act of sharing his discovery and his insights with the medical community and teach him led to a substantial benefit in terms of relief from addictions ( and probably in terms of their consequences in the form of illness and mortality ) among a population increasingly important to patients .
The unique knowledge and expertise of Dr. Ameisen to define the treatment in patients with addiction made him an international expert by excellence in this field and , in my opinion, highly qualified to treat patients affected by addiction. The benefits of the efforts of Dr Ameisen to affected patients or their families can never be emphasized enough and must be supplemented by direct therapeutic intervention that only he can provide so also unique.
